Yes but my comment was more about Cliff's orange wet suit.

Most definitely. Not even a tall order in this case.

We finally watched the movie last night.

We have never lived in California much less Hollywood, and I only drove through LA on the interstate a few times as my only time there, so it is as alien as Toyko or Berlin. It was interesting to see the props. I presume there is some company that still makes cans of beer with pull tops for movie props. Are all those props just made to order or from a catalog that they just order what they need?

I am also curious, did the businesses in LA leave up any of the new facades along Hollywood Blvd? Did they go back to the old signs?

We enjoyed the movie. As a total outsider it is interesting to see how actors have to learn lines, and we have certainly seen outtakes and line flubs, but to see the actor ask for lines, and have to get back in character, and the other actors just sit and wait as they have done it as well is likely real.

It is a shame that the Manson murderers did not end up at the wrong house, and have that sort of ending.

I came across this video after a post on the Alec Baldwin prop gun shooting. Some stuff is warehoused, some stuff is made. I would think a lot of the old Hollywood is CGI in the movie? Maybe the take original footage or photographs and overlay the actors? Or shoot the scene then cgi in the period correct buildings and signs? I am just guessing.
