Ugly game. Miami couldn’t hold onto the ball and the Gators couldn’t capitalize on all their fumbles and self inflicted penalties.

I'm thinking that ranking of 8th was a tad optimistic.
Reminds me of the olden days when USC would start ranked in the top 5.

That pre-season ranking was based on the last part of the season, including beating FSU and their bowl game against Michigan. Plus the fact that we had a returning QB and many key starters in all 3 position groups.

Hard to really come away with a real notion of how Florida ends up this year, just based on this one game.

Why?

Because it was an in-state rivalry game, played at a neutral site, in triple digit heat index, and it was the season opener....all factors which impact how well a team plays no matter who they are and how "good" they are.

Of course, my comments represent optimism to some degree and I own up to that too.

Franks needs to grow up and stop all the theatrics and his coaches need to do their job with mentoring him with that.

I have my doubts about how Coach Mullen will handle the loose behaviour with some of these players. I hope I am wrong - but I feel if the coaching staff were really trying to help this kid they would knock some sense into him, one way or another. Running stadium steps being a tried and true method.

Florida has a week off and then a cupcake game and then they start conference play against Kentucky so there's time to get things fixed and most of the negatives was all coachable stuff.

So we'll see what happens - lot of season in front of us.

Anyone else watch the last part of the Carolina's game?

Both teams tried to give it away!

Happy to see Mac get his first win at NC, though. Very emotional post-game.

Ging to be a looooong year for the Cocks!

Watched it. The UofSC QB had 2 picks and a lost fumble in the last 6 minutes. He is a Senior. He's regressed under Muschamp.

My #1 Favorite team, The Oregon State Beavers, lost ugly to the Oklahoma State Cowboys on Friday night.

But some salvation when my #2 favorite team, Auburn, beat the University of Oregon Ducks with a final drive and a seconds remaining TD toss by their true freshman QB. Wow, whatta game!

Next week, of course, I'll have a new #2 favorite.

Could be wrong but I'm guessing the Buckeyes and Wolverines aren't going to stay where they're ranked for long.

Mich goes to Wisky in two weeks. Gonna be a tough one.

Looks to me the Buckeyes have em a nice qb and 3 or 4 games coming up that they should dominate.

Looking forward to the game tonight!

Coming off another playoff appearance, the high-powered Oklahoma Sooners open their 2019 season on Sunday night when they host the Houston Cougars. Kickoff is set for 7:30 p.m. ET from Memorial Stadium. The Sooners went undefeated at home last season on their way to an 11-1 mark in the regular season. They avenged their lone loss by beating Texas in the Big 12 championship game to earn their second consecutive College Football Playoff berth and third overall. Meanwhile, Houston starts a new era following an 8-5 campaign, after which it parted ways with former coach Major Applewhite and brought in Dana Holgorsen from West Virginia. The Sooners are 23-point favorites and the over-under for total points scored is 80 in the latest Houston vs. Oklahoma odds.

Game will be televised on ABC.

If the Sooners can hold Houston to under 40 it will be an improvement.

Sooners o line is pretty green.
