Peter Fonda...Did ........at 79
I think this guy had a huge impact on modern culture.
I remember when Easy Rider came out to took a few months before it hit my local drive-in. I was ten and my buddy who lived almost next door to the theatre - we snuck out and watched most of the movie through their backyard fence - awesome! |
May he RIP.

So long, *******.

Maybe there's a lesson there somewhere. (Please excuse the PARF content) |
Celebrities trying to out shock the last so they can get recognition when their driver drops them off at the latest lunch spot. This gives them the perfect opportunity to carry on about global warming while the driver waits in the Escalade with the AC running. Meanwhile the sprinklers are running away during the drought while the rest of California’s grass dies, surely they did not expect the enlightened one’s to reduce water usage? Maybe a private jet trip around the world to rail against corporatism?
Personally I will remember him for Dirty Marry, Crazy Larry. I was a teenager and loved fast cars. |
Fonda's EASY RIDER made so many folks paranoid about driving through the south that when I traveled from Chicago to Florida entering Georgia was a non-stop, pedal to the medal marathon event!!!!! The last scene in EASY RIDER when Dennis Hopper gets blown away by this red-neck with a shotgun on a southern highway (we thought it was either Alabama or Georgia) was enough to stop you in your tracks. Fonda's EASY RIDER is a classic.
