Watkins Glen Vintage Grand Prix question
I wanna go to the Friday afternoon re-enactment that happens on the streets. I can’t figure out if a ticket is needed for this. I can’t see why you would since this happens on public streets. I do see info about the parking and the free shuttle but Watkins Glen International’s website doesn’t indicate except that tix for “weekend” and “Sunday only” are available.
Anyone been to this that can clarify? http://grandprixfestival.com/

Unless things have changed, the downtown event is free, just show up and find a place to park. I miss going to that.

Yes the event is free but get in place early, as traffic on Friday in town is a cluster. Last time I was there there were numerous car club events parading thru town on Friday.

Yes, you need to get there very, very early in the morning to avoid the typical glen traffic jam and to find a place to park it town.

Was gonna follow this instruction off the website
———— Use the Grand Prix Festival free shuttle bus service and parking for spectators simplify everyone’s life! Free parking is available at the Clute Park Community Center off NYS Route 414 - east of downtown Watkins Glen. Spectators and volunteers can park and board the shuttle to get closer to the event sites along Franklin Street and reduce walking and downtown traffic. This is the only parking location.
