Anyone getting those social security scam phone calls?

I get them almost every day. They leave automated messages too.
Super annoying calling them a benchod, and other insults. Sob's don't get the clue either....

I don't recognize the number I don't answer and usually don't even listen to the shpeel they leave. SS, IRS, my nephew in Philadelphia does NOT call me out of the blue. EVER.

I have gotten those in the pass on the land line.
I never answer those calls, funny thing, this last week I get this message claiming to be local utility company saying they are going to shut off the power in 30 to 40 mins. or else etc.
Same female voice from IRS scam call months ago.

I rarely give my cell number to any business or agency. I still get some calls from unknown sources.
If they don't leave a message no call back from me.

Just got one again today. I have to answer all calls right now. I’m having a building constructed and I’m getting calls from the various contractors. I don’t know their numbers.

I don't answer ANY calls, send them to the recorder and out of 20 or so calls a day maybe one is important and leaves a message!

For me they usually seem to show up in batches of five a day. I pretty much don't answer phone calls from numbers I don't recognise anymore. Mostly the scammers are trying to be "smart" and use a local number to the phone they're calling - doesn't help if that "local" number is halfway across the country, but it does make them easier to identify.

Since I got my Magic Jack.....I don't get spam/telemarketing calls any more.

None.

All of them are on my cell phone. I keep my phone on silent, and check my voicemails... Which means I almost never pick up a call. So when they do call and I answer... It's a treat. The one today I couldn't stop laughing. Swearing like a 10 year old sailor.... Except with broken English.

Yeah, ya gotta love it...."Due to suspected fraudulent activity, you're Social Security number has been suspended" Uh huh..Yah sure. ****ers.

I got the call last week. When it told me to press 1, I did. Guy on the other end answers, SSA what can I help you with. I said, you called me and he hung up. I need to be more friendly next time so I can mess with them for while.
