Mindhunter

An interesting Netflix series (yeah, I’ve been watching a lot of TV this weekend). The story is about the development of FBI profilers, but for me the best part is the incredible attention to background detail. The show is set in about 1979 or 1980. They do an exceptional job with making era appropriate sets. Even to putting an era appropriate bottle of “Joy” dishwashing soap in a 10 second shot in a kitchen. The cars are incredible- dozens of new looking 60s and 70s cars in many scenes. The picture car crew did an astounding job of collecting appropriate vehicles.

Quite possible one of the best shows going at the moment. I binged the first season.

Thanks. I will give it a look.

The only problem is the idiot that thought it would be a good idea to constantly have a phone ringing in almost every indoor scene..

Episode 1 was a bit slow but the 2nd got good. Will keep watching.

Thanks for the tip! I just watched the first 2 episodes. I like Holden's girlfriend...

I started Series 1 about 2 weeks ago. Went up to my place to fish for a week and am now back. This will be my binge for the upcoming week.

So far, I have enjoyed it a lot.

She's Gross. Actually Hannah Gross. I would pet that.

She's got a little of the Alma Mobley look.

Great two seasons. Disappointing that the series was cancelled.

Agree.. Unfortunately that happens all to often with intelligently written and produced shows.

A lot of that was filmed right here in my home town . I was selling my BMW and the guy from the set called to inquire about it . I had already sold it when he called, but they were looking for cars from the 70's to use on the set .
Interestingly , they did not want to rent, like I thought movie studios do, he was looking to purchase

I'm three episodes in. Very good show! (and it has the itty bitty boobies that I favor :D )

Steve Carlton 08-20-2023 03:38 PM

Doing a little profiling yourself there, flatty?
