Anyone watch Rick Beato's youtube videos on music/songs?
He's got several videos on youtube titled "What makes this song great" covering some really popular rock songs that are really fun to watch. I don't play an instrument or know jack about music but I really like learning what goes into some popular songs by watching his analysis and commentary when he breaks down a song. He goes into some pretty good depth on how the music is played and the structure of the song while explaining his interpretation of the music. Really entertaining for a non-musical person!

Yeah, I have watched his videos for quite a while. Really like the guy...
I also watch a lot of videos where artists talk about some of their recordings. The videos about Steely Dan's Asia are definitely worth a watch, Walter and Donald were a lot more complicated than I ever knew. |

One of my favorites was from when YouTube was getting popular back in the early-mid 2000s. Kenny Wayne Shepard made a few videos because people were playing his songs wrong in the instructional videos so he went through them with his own videos.

Rick Beato is great! This guy lived it and is sharing all of his musical experiences on YT. He quickly dispatches a lot of myths floating around the net and gives it to you straight. Worth a watch if you are interested in the music biz through the stage or studio door.
