I know they have changed it to a CTC now..

Porsche will no longer validate engine serial numbers on pretty much any vintage porsche without going to the dealer first..

Question is.. Mostly likely if you are looking at a vintage porsche with a SN ending in 700 and the engine is 725 mostly likely this is a matching numbers car?

I’ve noticed that engine numbers can
be as much as 200 serial numbers away from the vin number though.. These 200+ vin number instances were validated by the coa..

Apparently in Europe vintage porsche enthusiast don’t care about matching numbers as there is zero interface to prove this..

Also porsche got away from pulling kardex in the early 2000s..

I remember reading after the volkwagen take over disaster volkswagen orderd all kardex destroyed..

The Porsche families kept the Kardex records. Of course the family also owns 51% of VW.

I’m guessing this would make them one of the wealthiest families in the world..

Pretty sure VW is selling close to 1 million cars a year now..

Yep, they are one of the wealthiest families.

One of my friends owns THE oldest Porsche sold new in the USA. It is a 1952 356 Cabriolet. It is a long story, but he received a call from Peter Porsche and they made an offer. My friend mentioned he has been trying to get a Kardex for the car and Peter mentioned the family kept all of those records when they sold Porsche AG to to VW. They are no longer sole owners of Porsche, but they do own the majority of VW.

All from Ferry Porsche's early designs of the Cisitalia to raise the money to bail out his father, Ferdinand Porsche.

And the 356 is still here. PCNA has borrowed it more than once. They took it to California and shot photos of it like they do for the new cars. Imagine having PCNA call you up to borrow your Porsche for a photo shoot.

Debt they got themselves into to buy VAG

Most journalists seem to miss the point that Porsche SE bought VAG
and only remember that VAG bought PAG

But with full control of VAG they still control PAG and anything that happens with it.
They are extremely profitable and I'm sure can buy more VAG if they wanted to.

They have zero debt-t-equity at the moment
