Hammerite paint: vintage look "Mid-Green"

I am thinking about this finish on something, I just don't know. Maybe a vingate lamp, or a rolling table, I don't know.

Is it paint? Is it powder coat?

I did som searching and cam across "Hammerite".

It's paint... Really easy to use.

Just search "Hammerite paint" on Google.

Will do, thanks!

I want to use it on something, I just don't know what. The lamp that I was thinking of is powder coated. So it would have to be sand blasted probably.

Yes, best on bare metal but it does stick to most things because the traditional stuff is oil based.

I've used the rustoleum bronze hammered finish (spray can) to 'update' hardware around the house, like hvac grills and recessed light trims.

We use it all the time in the movie biz. Usually gray or green to give a vintage look.

Used the Rust-o-leum rattle can hammer tone paint for the steel frame on my gate. Its been ten years and with a couple chips, but held up really well.

To get the exact green you want you may have to buy a can of blue and yellow although I have never seen yellow. It's out there along with gold but may likely have to ordered. And a can of dark gray (black hammertone is just a textured paint, no slight iridescense look) for adjusting the tone, hue being the color value and tone the shade.

(There's more to it)

The Hammerite is great and all... But I think the real beauty in this thread is the nurse in the first pic. I'm sure she's a bit older now, but WOW!

I'm on the internet right now, ordering (and NOT in this order):
1. Hammerite (or any North Korean Green will do, even without texture)
2. Nurse's outfit for my wife.

I buy that stuff by the case.

Easy to use, needs minimal prep, sticks to anything, durable in our extreme TX climate, dries nearly instantaneously.

Only thing I hate is the new "pistol grip" top, thumbs hurts after using a couple cans.

Granville is another brand of similar paint; they may have a different colour range.

I see it comes as quarts. https://www.rustoleum.com/product-catalog/consumer-brands/stops-rust/hammered

Says brush-on but I might try some in a gun.
