Summer has broken...

Here comes the fall,
Bring on the sun,
And that is all...

:)

masraum 09-18-2019 03:03 AM

I'd agree. I think things have changed here as well.

KevinTodd 09-18-2019 03:03 AM

LOL. 98 degrees here yesterday.....

KFC911 09-18-2019 03:09 AM

Hot and humid (90s) lately...today will be 15-20 degrees cooler...nice ;)!

Here comes the sun,
Doo-dun-doo-doo,
And that's all right...

Crowbob 09-18-2019 03:32 AM

I'm already sick of winter.

LWJ 09-18-2019 05:31 AM

Yep. The switch flipped.

Grass went from brown to green. One week.

MrBonus 09-18-2019 06:18 AM

Perfect driving weather for those of us who refuse to fix our AC.

cabmandone 09-18-2019 06:19 AM

Been watching the trees gradually turn as well as the soybean fields for the last few weeks. Getting ready for archery season. Fall is my favorite time of the year.

Sooner or later 09-18-2019 06:35 AM

Yep. Down to the lower 90's for me. Should be in the 80's late next week.

ckelly78z 09-18-2019 06:55 AM

I have 3 more days of pool weather (high 80s) here in NW Ohio, then it will most likely stay in the mid-low 70*s and sunshine, for the next month before the slow depressing sink into Winter.

Evans, Marv 09-18-2019 07:16 AM

Generally a great time of year. Only thing is I hate the days getting shorter and look forward to the third week of December when they start back getting longer. I couldn't believe it was 41 degrees here this morning.

Bugsinrugs 09-18-2019 07:42 AM

I’m loving the rain. It’s not going to end our fire worries this year but it postpones it a bit.

sammyg2 09-18-2019 01:29 PM

Another couple a months and I'll start thinking about wearing something other than flip-flops. Hate that.

Where were you at, Big Bear?

Evans, Marv 09-18-2019 02:01 PM

No, east San Diego County about 3500 ft. elevation. It's usually colder and hotter here than the weather forecasts say. Our high so far is in the low 80's. Perfect weather.

pete3799 09-18-2019 02:22 PM

39* this morning. Possible frost tonight.
I'm not ready for this yet.

petrolhead611 09-18-2019 03:30 PM

We already moved to indoor archery last Sunday here in the UK.

look 171 09-18-2019 03:40 PM

I am with Sammy here, those long sleeve shirts maybe coming my way in a couple months. Still 80 here today. Shorter days means short riding time on my bike if I get the chance to go out during the week

My cousins are dying to visit from Calgary this winter around Christmas. They can't handle the cold anymore.

Superman 09-18-2019 05:43 PM

Same thing here in the PNW.

rattlsnak 09-18-2019 07:45 PM

85 ish for the next two days, then back to high 90s here all next week!

LOVE IT! I will take 90 over anything below 60!

Crowbob 09-18-2019 07:46 PM

84°sunnyWSW@10 (aka: beautiful!) today

Dayuuummmnn, you and I are polar opposites - I would gladly take 50 (the temp I keep my sleeping quarters at, during the 8-month summers here - keep it at mid 40s during the 1.5 month "winter") over 90 every day of the year if I could. :)

KC, you and your cooler temps suck biggly, Bro! Was mid-upper 90s here today, and high humidity (aka - totally sucked azz and ballz, as usual)! :D

JavaBrewer 09-18-2019 09:06 PM

Agree with Rk, we keep bedroom temperature cold, have a whole house fan that we run deep into November. Down comforter, a blanket, and shared bodies to stay warm. Room air very cold and we sleep sound. I could take high heat in until my 50's but now prefer colder weather. Cannot sleep in heat or worse humidity. So far a mild summer for North East San Diego county....but fully expect real heat until a few weeks after halloween

Halloween is really the cut off for us isn't it? As a kid, I remember some years sweating like hell under costumes but some of those years, we would freeze out asses off. We want on vacation to Asia for 6 weeks this summer to Northern China and worked our way down south and end in Bali. By southern China, the heat and Humidity was kicking our asses. By Bali, the heat was just too much and my wife and kids were so beat by that Humidity, she decided stayed in the hotel and didn't even get into the water. I think its age. We keep out bedrooms pretty cold throughout the year. Its normally 70-73 down there without AC. Like you guys, down comforter and a mid weight blanket and we are happy

tabs 09-18-2019 10:41 PM

I hope your kidding, I have barely been inside since it stopped raining in June...Winter in Northern Ohio is the bane of my existence !

Evans, Marv 09-19-2019 08:38 AM

I think we've lucked out in SoCal so far this year (haven't used a heater or AC for mostly four months now). We've had some warm weather but not scorching, long episodes. Now temps are 5 to 15 degrees below normal and seem to remain that way for a while according to the forecasts. Plus we've had a really mild fire season so far - knock on wood. If this indicates a trend for this year, I'm wondering if the winter will be a cool one.

I hope we have a nice winter because I have this house wide open. After demo, the "wife" decided to change the overall design. Plans are back in the city. House will remain open for another 2 months awaiting for the city to do their thing.

rattlsnak 09-19-2019 05:52 PM

oh, I like it cold when I sleep also, but outside temps below 60 suck! I hate wearing anything more than a t-shirt/shorts outside!

Jeff, ya know ya pays yur money and takes yur chances on that.

look 171 09-19-2019 09:21 PM

Oh, not my wife. Thank goodness.

I have been beating on them about preserving the old growth quarter swan Oak floor throughout the house (about 2000 sq' of it) about damage from the potential rain. Home owner's wife says," Its OK, we can install new flooring afterward." I held hands to my face almost ripping it off. What a waste. So sad. So, not my pig, not my farm. Way it goes.

mattdavis11 09-19-2019 10:09 PM

It hasn't broken 160 miles east of Houston yet.

KFC911 09-20-2019 01:14 AM

A bit on the chilly side this morning.....

Coffee keepin' me warm inside...outside :)

It'll get warm later on though...

Off topic....what are folks from Texas called?

Texans orTexians? (never heard that before last night that I can recall)

Skwirl ;)

Evans, Marv 09-20-2019 08:50 AM

My little weather station said it got down to 37 early this AM (SoCal). I don't ever remember it being that cool at this time of the year. Going to get up to the low 80's. I still have some weed whacking to do, so today should be good for that.

Well, Mammoth Mt. got the first snow of the season, yesterday. It's not even officially Fall yet.

somewhat true here but now I can bring out the stellar telescope and put the solar scope away.
