Watching Ken Burn's "Country" series, I also learned that everyone who "invaded" CA in the dust bowl was an "Okie"...regardless of where they came fron... and it was a derogatory slur...who knew?

I don't get out much :)

At a local BBQ place, the restaurant is decorated inside with old license tags form many states. Every single Texas tag is displayed upside down. All the other tags are right way up.
