Iowa State Football Fan Donation - Good Story!
Have you all seen the Iowa State fan that made the sign for ESPN's College Game Day last week when it was in Ames? It said "Busch Light Supply Needs Replenished" and then listed his Venmo account on there.
He got such a strong response when it went viral that he announced he was donating the money to the University of Iowa Stead Family Children's Hospital. Both Busch, Venmo and I am hearing NW Mutual are matching his donation and it is up over $500K. Here are a few of the articles: https://www.goodmorningamerica.com/living/story/college-football-fan-donate-40000-hospital-viral-beer-65689221 And one about what Busch is doing: https://www.kcci.com/article/iowa-legend-carson-king-gets-his-own-busch-light-cans-a-years-supply/29149361# All in all I think it is pretty cool he took a joke and made it something positive.

And the roof caves in.
A reporter for the Des Moines Register looked into Carson's past tweets, and found racist, and objectionable tweets from 2012 when he was 16. Between 2010 and 2013, Calvin published tweets that used a racist slur for black people, made light of abusing women, used the word “gay” as a pejorative and mocked the legalization of same-sex marriage by saying he was “totally going to marry a horse.” The Register’s statement on Twitter was soon flooded with images of the reporter’s offensive comments. https://www.washingtonpost.com/nation/20...er-tweets/ |

Yep, it is caving in on the paper. See the comments the reporter had made in the past?
Pot meet Kettle. As a teenager I am sure none of us ever said anything inappropriate. Just another reason to avoid Tweeter. |

I'm pretty sure that I wouldn't be employable if there was Twitter when I was 16...
(Or Facebook...or snapchat....or whatsapp....or Google for that matter.....)

You all haven’t been paying attention.
The guy made some homophobic tweets ten years ago. Now they’re trying to destroy him.

Fundraiser guy made (2) "offensive" tweets when he was 16, and the reporter from the paper decided to mention this in his article on the fundraiser guy. A-B then drops fundraiser guy, and folks dig into the reporters' tweets, discovering multiple "offensive" tweets from 2010-2013. Reported now under investigation.
As Nelson would say "Ha-Ha"
