My new boat motor, help needed

A co-worker found this Johnson outboard motor in the dump, he drained and flushed the tank and carb, both were loaded with crude, fresh oil in the leg and got it running, he traded it to me for a case of beer.
This is what I know about it, its made in Canada, 5hp, twin, fuel tank is in the cowling for the motor, there are no gears or neutral, when it starts the prop is spinning, motor spins 180* for reverse. Throttle, stop, start are all on the slide selector at the front of the motor. On the top of the cowl is a rotating knob for rich/lean and its spring loaded for a fuel pump/primer.
I figure its a mid to late 50's/early 60's era motor, anyone have/had one? Info on age?
Thanks

Finn

Gotta be a model & serial number on it somewhere I'd imagine. Check the mounting bracket.

Dude, I've been trying to tune and figure out my Johnson since age 13. Believe me, there's no owner's manual available.

Sounds like the same motor I used to buzz around lakes on as a kid with my brothers. Does it have a "D" handle for steering and you spin the motor for reverse? I think my dad still has that motor in his barn. If I get over there I'll see if I can take a pic and post.
