A slap on the face, or a jail cell?
 

What used to get you at most a slap on the face or a reprimand, now will get you a jail cell. The whole casual interaction of males and females is getting torn down like statues that a few people who don't know or appreciate history want torn down. The woman who is accusing Cuba Gooding of touching her breast - I am sure it has been subject to more touching in crowds and people traffic. What is the big deal? Is the long run agenda to lower the population? Scaring males from making an advance? Or, as I now see with Matt Lauer, was it a long pattern of inappropriate behavior? Less sex = less people = economic "adjustments"! If I were a young male today, I would be very afraid.

....but I don't recall actually grabbing any in public either....I don't think...well, uninvited anywaze :).

Looking at boobies - that's another thing. I like cleavage, but what do women get out of it? Ventilation? Is it appropriate in the workplace? I think not! In the general public arena I guess it is part of their marketing.

My father in law used to have a liquor store. One of his regulars was in, shooting the Mierda. A young girl walks in, and is wearing quite provocative clothing.

The regular starts to ogle the girl

She gets disgusted and says: "What are you looking at ?"

He responds: "What ever you're showing..."

It may be a power transfer towards attractive males.

Why?

Because men end up being the ones pursued, and that gives them the power of turning down.

In a weird sort of way, I see it as a loss of power for women. Women are trading being the Road Runner in exchange for becoming the Coyote.

Overall, I think it may reduce happiness as it may be out of order with biological function.

I think it's all driven by a very small percentage of the female population. The ugly feminazis who are too damn ugly and too damn shrill to get a date. They have finally convinced the cute (and stupid) ones that all men are pigs and are all after only one thing. I mean, they're right, but they didn't have to go around and tell everyone...

That's not happening. Millenials are having less sex than previous generations. Men are afraid to approach women. Women still want to be approached. They just was to have the right to have the man prosecuted if there the wrong man does the approaching.

Let me give you a little insight into the mentality behind this. I was reading a feminist blog a few years ago. The writer was claiming that she has the right to withdraw consent for sex after the fact. She was arguing that if she withdraws consent for sex, after the fact, the sex retroactively becomes rape. In the writer's mind, this all made perfect sense.

Wow, by that logic a BJ is forced abortion...

Everybody wants a free ride. I think some chicks are just looking for a reason to take a guy to court.

Exactly this.

Every woman knows that they can pretty much automatically can win a case in court against a male.

A couple of things...

Avoid any sort of horse play at work. Why does your workplace have a HR department?
(It's an expensive department considering their average workload.)

When a woman is talking to you make sure you understand what she's saying. Sounds obvious but understanding is the key.

This is one I tell younger guys all the time...
If a woman is interested in your she'll let you know. Subtly at first and of you don't get it she'll ramp it up.

As far as I could see he was being friendly. It actually looks innocent and his GF was present the whole time.

When younger, I've had older ladies grab my hand and put it to their chest while talking (not breast). I've also talked recently with a established gentleman who seemed to edge closer and closer until we were a foot apart. Maybe hearing problems was involved, who knows. A little awkward then but I understood. They were trying to make a bond or connection.

The romantic language cultures such as Latin/Italian/French are very touchy-feely in their greetings, and even with strangers. The Asians are strictly hands off but I just saw a documentary where the white t.v. interviewer in Taiwan kept patting and touching male stranger's shoulders and sometimes when they were not looking which was probably very uncomfortable for them. We Americans generally use the three foot rule especially between men.

Cuba Gooding is just spiritually off-balance in general and can't fully commit to any particular role, which is partially why I don't like any of his movies. He's completely unsure of himself and tries way too hard one second and then retracts the next like he did something wrong. He probably saw other people having fun while greeting each other that way and decided to copy it. It would be a right move in the right context (women greeting women who are good friends) but applied the human gesture in the completely wrong situation.

It was an extremely awkward maneuver but it didn't seem sexually suggestive or a sexual assault from that footage w/o sound.

That thigh-touch was actually an inner grab, and way too long, but all she does is do nothing except adjust her hair and keep talking.
Her suddenly approaching him and his girlfriend at a restaurant and just sitting down without asking was a bit 'bold' as well.

Yep, there's nothing there, but the lawyers get paid anyway. It's in their interest to play this kind of thing up.

I've mentioned this before, but maybe it's worth repeating. One of my responsibilities towards the end of my career was mentoring junior engineers. There is the "official" mentoring process, performed on hours, under close supervision, while at work. Then there is the "unofficial" mentoring process, which entailed socializing after work, going to lunch together while at work, and occasionally taking them into the "broom closet" (a private conference room) at work, and that sort of thing. The female junior engineers only received the "official" mentoring. Hell, I wouldn't even take them alone into a private conference room while at work, much less dare socialize with them after or away from work. Just not worth the risk. So, who really got the best out of our mentoring process? Rhetorical question, I know... They have made their bed, however.

The net result is a few have messed it up for the many. Unintended consequences. Many males from my generation (I am retired) would interact with females in the work place much differently than we did. But guess what? THEY were just as bad! :) There is "playful" behavior, and i am sure there was and is inappropriate behavior, that which stepped/steps over the line.
