Better quality cig adapter for trickle charger

Bought some off eBay and they are all loose, ill fitted POS from China. anyone know a better source or brand. These things came with two spring prong and it keeps falling out of the cig lighter socket. I had to use tape to hold it in place to keep from coming lose not making contact. I tried another brand and still, dose the same damn thing.

Any auto-parts store should have 12v cig power adapters. Would just have to splice it in.
I'm confused about what you need it for...to charge the battery of that car? How does that work?

Yes, for battery tender. I want to plug it into the cig lighter and forget about it. Its a btich to get at the battery in my 993 due to having to flip the carpet. I already broke a small part trying to get it of the metal clips.

I connected my battery tender ring terminals to the battery cables permanently so all I have to do is connect the tender itself to the pigtail connector when I want to charge it. I did this to my Boxster.

I just might have to do that

This on all five of my cars that don’t get driven regularly

My pigtail is connected directly to the battery, the lead is hidden behind the front license plate. Easy hook up every time I park it.

The big problem is not having someone park in my space and run the charger over...

Any chance you can bend/tweek the spring loaded prongs outward for a tighter fit ?

BTW, the 911 cig port is a little larger than US ports. They make a sleeve that fattens up the US style male plug....or you can retrofit the port to a US siazed one. NOT an easy upgrade. Ask me how I know.

I don't use it at all. Don't even know if it is energized any more.

Are we talking older Porsche German outlets? They are always loose.

I ended up wiring in a 3 hole aux set of outlets in my 914/6. Ran the cable into the center magazine holder and the outlets sat in the bottom. Fused it direct to the battery.

Skip the cig lighter. Anderson power pole connectors are de bomb. Available in different sizes/currents.

I have the Battery Tender pigtail attached to my cars and simply open the frunk to fish them out and connect to the charger.

Make your own with a socket from a FLAPS. If you need a serious plug, perhaps an old cellphone charger from the local good will, etc. ? Or again, the FLAPS will have one.
