Looking for a Pylon Lift Lock

They don't sell them at AutoZone any more. Anyone have one they'd be willing to sell? It looked like this in the package:

Not to be a jerk but why not buy a new cylinder?

If the lift is dead then it won't hurt to place a clamp on the shaft. Get some small Vice-Grip pliers and leave them handy. Once adjusted they are a one hand operation.

They sell a knurled knob thing on amazon .
It appeared in the “you could be interested in” kits when I bought a hood stay a few months ago .
I’ll go look for it in my amazon orders , and see if the knob thing appears again

Thanks for the suggestions. I have looked at the clamp idea and different prop rods but I just love the Lift Lock system (right up until a bozo at a car show tried to close the rear deck and busted the thing).

If anyone sees or has one, please let me know.

If the gas strut is shot, can you just drill a hole and drop a key/pin in it?

Wait a sec, come to think of it, why not replace the shocks if it makes a difference for show ?

Well, back to square one.
The Ebay seller only offered 2 collars (3 were in the original kit) and refused to confirm which size collar is missing. Without the correct size collar the system doesn't work and it is the weak link in the system.

To answer other questions, broomstick is a hassle to drag out and use. The clamp won't work since I have two shocks on one side and as such, replacing the shocks is a major PIA and they don't last very long.

Sooo, if anyone sees Lift Lock for sale or has one to sell, let me know.
