There are a number of Rent Control bills before the California State Legislature that would control the rent on any type of California residential realestate....and the amount that one could increase it after it was vacated.... Hows that for Socialism.....and what does one think that will do to the value of Rental Property in the state of California?

I use to own and operate about 30 rental units (homes/apts) and slowly but surely the gov't took away our incentives to own the revenue properties. (It wasn't for the wonderful tenants). No "owner" of revenue properties, no rental units for the renters.
Will someone tell the gov't to stay outa our cottin' pickin' business!!!!!!

California...... isn't that the place where the gov't believes that everyone should have a job, whether you want to work or not?

The strongest anti-rent control symbol I ever saw was on an apartment building on San Vicente and Ocean Avenue in Santa Monica: the owner painted a big-assed red hammer and sickle on the side of the building for all to see.

That building probably was owned by an old Irishman I used to work with by the name of "Old" Bill Humphrey's.....the guy owned 30 apatment units on the beach in Santa Monica...and was beat out of buying a house by Jane Fonda.....who he throughly despised....he would cry, "Ladie I just can't make any money on these buildings"

California is the place where the Government wants to control you from the cradle to the grave... and tax everything you got in between.....Work is a dirty word to the government in California.....everybody should be on the dole.......

Tabs, you remind me of the several occasions I've thought about incorporating out of state - like Nevada or Connecticut.
