Looks crap to me.
If you just face lift it with some modern look panels you just get an 80ies car with 2020 half assed look So no from me

The redesigned 944 was called the 968 and it didn't sell well when new, although rapidly became retrospectively appreciated.

As stated, it's not hideous, but it's not an improvement either.
Count me in as not a fan of the end result. The fender flares are silly since it's already got fender flares. I'm also not digging the Charger tail lights, super outboard tailpipes or the whole rear diffuser thing. Sometimes less is more, in this case, a lot less.

Using cues on how he massaged the front fender lines, I have used advanced algorithms to calculate how he envisions the front end. Here's the rest of the story:

probably not far off, but your photoshop algorythm produces better contrast lines, shading etc etc

There has been talk for years now that Porsche was toying with the idea of coming out with a modern version of the 928 . Anyone think there is a chance of them coming out with a modern version of the 944/968 ? Keep it as light as you can , put a turbo Boxer four in it with a traditional transmission bolted to the bellhousing vs. that stupid torque tube
 it could be a winner . Design as a entry level vehicle with a reasonable retail price , I'm sure there can be some platform/parts sharing to help with costs . Or maybe ditch the turbo to keep price down and just have naturally aspirated ? With today's technology a 300 hp four is easy to achieve , can get good/great fuel mileage and perform very well in a balanced chassis . What do you think ?

Not sure how the Panamera is the modern 928 as it's a four door but it " could " be the base for a two door I suppose . And a modern 944/968 in my opinion should be geared towards entry level to attract younger audience to the showroom . I think a base Boxster/Cayman is too $$$ to be considered entry level .
