I never said you couldn’t provide the info. You just have to remove the personal info. When I sold cars with records I either clipped out the personal info or just redacted it with a sharpie. But most dealerships just toss it in the trash.

In the end and to me, people dislike dealerships for reasons exactly like this and more.
I think the deal is that most maintenance receipts reference the person who owned the car and/or payed for the maintenance.
