KD is a wrinkled up old man, Betty White is a hottie. :D:D

She reminds me of Doris Roberts/ Marie Barone RIP (my fav re-run)
Witty...but no hottie!

Ken is a machine.
Far from over...but looking good for him.

stevej37 01-14-2020 06:00 PM

Great ending.
All were good.

It was good. James missed the final and I did not see that coming. Id like to have seen it go another round.

Yep...it was a great series of games (the ones I saw). Different categories might have produced a different outcome, but Ken is definitely deserving of the GOAT trophy....he was awesome.

Yes he was! Ken upped his game for this tournament...going for high-point clues early on and betting the farm on some Daily Doubles. He used James' aggressive strategy to beat him at his own game. I seem to remember Ken playing a bit more conservatively during his record win streak back in '04.

I liked the way Jennings took his time answering the DD clues...making us think he might not know the answer, only to get it right after all, and making it seem like it was just a lucky guess. I wonder if they were all coached to do that?

Brad Rutter was way out of his league here. Hard to believe that he's the all-time game show money winner judging by his lackluster performance. Oddly enough, he did beat Jennings three times in previous Tournament of Champions matches on Jeopardy. And he did undermine Holzhauer's game by wasting several of the Daily Doubles that are a key part of James' strategy.

How in blazes can these guys remember so much of this obscure trivia anyway

Ken's strategy on the final jeopardy yesterday...totally surprised me.
It worked out great...but why did he bet nothing when he knows almost everything?
I need to watch it again to figure it out.

It did not matter at all what Ken bet...and he knew that. Might have been the reason why....

stevej37 01-15-2020 01:19 PM

unless James knew the question.
Then Ken would have lost.

stevej37 01-15-2020 01:21 PM

I almost think he was leaving an 'out' for James....to lead to a final game.
