Hanes ComfortFlex Fit. About 16 bucks for three. Its a copy of the Duluth gold standard. I have had only one pair of the Duluth and my boys can't tell the difference.

Can't go wrong with Hanes. Goes back to my whitie tightie days

Commando at home. Out and about I wear boxer shorts, stretchy fabric and "bag to inner leg shields".
Not sure how else to describe them but the shields stops your balls sticking to your legs.

This is a very timely thread for me. My old standby tighty whities aren't cutting it. I'll order some of those Hanes to see if they are an improvement.

I find I like Wool as a frabric.

Polyester and I react, it isn't good.

Cotton is ok, and preferred if I'm in a place with mild fire risk.
