Was this car crashed ?

I love this car.
I would love to have a track rat like this, but manual.

How can this dent get there without smashing the lights?
The headlights and bumper were replaced ?

Looks like someone tried to pry 'em out for the HID's.

The headlight on the passenger side is lighter than the driver side. It was replaced.

Judging from the scrapes, the bumper was not replaced.

From the looks of this pic, someone was pushing their luck, and either drove under an SUV/truck in front of them, or a truck, or something backed over the car while it was parked.

Look at this pic again:

See the gash on the front bumper under the passenger light?
That is probably where the offending object (something hanging down off the rear bumper of the truck/whatever) really dug into the bumper, destroying the headlight assembly (which later got replaced), and leaving the mark you are asking about. The gash/scrape in the bumper even points to the dent in the fender you are asking about.

Looked up the vin - no 'reported' accidents, but that doesn't mean something could have been settled outside the insurance...

SHOW ME THE CARFAX!!!! :)

Another possibility, being out on a farm or something, someone backed into it with the back of a trailer or something. I remember a similar 911 carrera for sale on CL a long time ago with similar story.

Looks like just one headlight was replaced. The drivers side headlight assembly looks clouded.

The saying might hold true. Nothing more expensive than a cheap Porsche...
You never know though. Might be a good daily thrasher.

The passenger door gaps look pretty good as does the deck lid. The drivers door looks not quite right though.

Judging by the other photos, I'd say it's a safe bet, lol...
That one is pretty rough.

pissed off spouse and a baseball bat....??

There's more underneath.

Drivers side front wheel pointing slightly left while passenger side is pointing straight.

Hmm, steering wheel pointing left as well, passenger headlight replaced so hidden damage on passenger side.

No silly! The wife pounded the car with her high heel on the rear passenger side quarter panel.

This car is GOLD!!!! PURE GOLD JERRY!!!!

I would say that car spent it's life parked on the streets of NYC.

My first car, NYC car (70 dodge challenger) had similar dents on every panel.

I like the statement "you'll have to tow it because the battery is dead."

And " you can't open the hood."

...You can't open the hood to charge the battery because of the damage. Probably the straw that made him decide to sell it. :D

Good analysis !

Yes, since the bumper is poly, it does not dent and deform.
That is why the lip of the hood can be mangled, yet the bordering bumper lip is straight.

That is a $15K car worth $10K with a $7K price tag.

porsche930dude 11-21-2019 05:16 PM

It ran up under someones bumper and caught the hood. You can see the scratches on top of the bumper and the hood is buckled in the middle. they only replaced the lights
