Foil Razors: Braun Series 7 get the top 3. All 3 score 80 at $220 to $250
Rotary Razors: Philips Norelco Sensotouch 3D are top 2. They score 73 and 72 at $200 to $250, respectively

Do you know when the review was done and did they review the Braun Series 9?

Don't know if CR reviewed the Braun Series 9. But, I have had most of the other razors listed and the Series 9 was much better than the rest and the Series 7 was a close 2nd.

The Series 9 was introduced in 2015, so I also question how old the CR review is.

I used my Series 9 for almost 3 years and it provided a decent shave. I originally went with an electric since I am on blood thinners and an occasional nick often turned into a bloody mess when I used a regular razor.

I have since switched to Gillette SkinGuard blades. I get a much closer shave this way and have yet to nick myself.

I have read reviews and some of the reviewers mention that getting replacement foils are difficult to get/find. Could be from early users that Braun did not have replacement parts in quanty.

My brother bought me a Series 7 for my Xmas present last year. I don't think it is very good. It is hard to beat a blade.
