Shameless is an interesting show - Being from Chicago, I see some of the behaviors and environments. I highly doubt a white family would be living in the Lawndale (2.9%). It's a little over the top - Having said this, I watched quite a few seasons. I haven't since Fiona departed from the show.

Every sitcom has a finite life - maybe the series has "jumped the shark".

They are in their 10th consecutive season.
Weird schedule -only air 14 new episodes in about 3 months a year, the rest of the year is repeats;
Close watchers will notice that Debbie now stands (sits) in for Fiona in the pants-down sequence in the opening bathroom credits. Also Frannie stands in for Liam.

Ten seasons and still most of the original cast. It has been interesting to watch them age. This season Luis Guzman as Frank's fellow con-artist has helped the story line with Debbie taking charge.. and Frank is still as disgusting and gross as ever and Luis (Mikey) is just as bad. (Luis Guzman in Speedo underwear is not a pretty sight).

Like all shows it has it's ups and downs but we really look forward to it every new season.

Some of the cast members take this 'shameless' thing a little too far.
Frank's real-life wife is one of the helicopter moms financing her daughter through her SATs.
(still one of my favorite actors - all the way back to Boogie Nights.)
