Classy, simple analog watch for around $100?

All my watches are in Montana. I would like something good looking, reliable and cheap. I don't know anything about these damn things. Reccos?

Both brands are very common and should be able to find something at a local jewelry shop.

I'm not a big fan of the Rolex silvery look. Something more like this:

Skagen
Their watches are on the slim side, so they don't get in the way of things.
I've had them for years...never any problem with them.

I have a skagen and really like it but I'm trying to steer away from watches that need batteries.

Motion, so you want gold tone?

I better stop or I will tart bidding on something.

I like the Skagens. Good call. No gold. Prefer black and white tones.

Might want to narrow it down to what color face and type of bracelet (metal, leather, fabric) you like. (you beat me to it)

Countdown to someone recommending a $2000 Rolex.

^^^ I like that one a lot, too. The band is comfortable? Do you wear it in the shower?

Very comfortable. Takes a few minutes for the initial set-up...after that it can be clasped or taken off alot easier than a reg band.
Waterproof..yes. The mesh band never creates sweat. I get about 3 years on one battery. It's got a safety clasp..never unhooks by itself.

I've had a couple of skagens. I like the look. I love that style of band, they are super comfy, and yeah, they don't care about water.

Motion,

Swatch actual makes very simple automatic watches- called Sistem 51, I think. Not real expensive. I have no experience with them though.

May or may not be your style. I picked this up recently for close to 100 and it is a great knock around watch.

Edit, his entire line up is pretty good.

I have my dad’s old air corps issue watch. Very similar to that but made by Benrus.

Far above what you want to pay but it's more of an asset purchase than an expense.

As sexy as a black or dark face watch is, it's terrible trying to read the time in low level lighting such as indoors (restaurant/bar).
