Can't find info on bolts need for steering column cover

I am looking for the bolts that hold the plastic cover together on my 06 Duramax's steering column. From some research, they are not regular bolt. Who ever worked on the truck never put them back and I have no idea where or how to locate them besides the dealer. I am trying to avoid them because they are not too thrill about doing it.

PP wouldn't allow me to post specific names.
Lots of on-line auto parts stores available.
If not, there must be a different dealer nearby?

If its anything like my VW, its a goofy ass "security" bolt.

I did a search quick and it seems like missing the screws is a very common issue.

Best bet - is likely a trim screw or 1 way push pins. Do you have an idea what type goes in? If there are no threads in the receiving piece - its prolly push-pin ( expandable) or 1 way pin

As long as they are not Pelican competitors, it is ok to name other vendors and stuff. Of course it would be poor form to recommend other vendors if our host sells the item/s.
Also, you can always pm or you can check with the moderator first.

if you cant get them oem new, Id go to your local dismantler. I bet theyd sell you the two covers and screws for next to nothing .

Freddy, I called a couple of junk yards. They all seem to have the covers but the screws. One of them is long with with a break in the thread in the middle from the u tube channels
