Olive oil:
When I was in Greece I stepped on a sea urchin."Rub olive oil on it" was the answer. The skin will soften and the needles will pop out.
Conditioning leather? Same answer.
Conditioning wood? Same answer.
Lubing kitchen tools? Same answer.

Baking soda:
Leavening agent for baked goods.
Neutralize battery acid.
Auto parts blasting without sand, glass bead, or walnut shell cleanup (but more expensive and needs paint prep).
Cleaning teeth and other surfaces.
Anti-Fungal and Antibacterial for skin.

A friend of mine's Italian dad cut his face open really badly. He wouldn't go to hospital or see a doctor, but put olive oil on it. i'm told that years later you had no idea his face had been cut up.

Can also put the stuff on food ( who would have thought) and nourish the skin from the inside.

Duct tape to hold things still and WD-40 to make things move.

BFH if the WD-40 doesn't work. Mig welder if the Duct tape doesnt.

My ex father in law (RIP) only ate olive oil and bread for about a year during WW2.

He lost weight but was otherwise fine.

Olive oil is also the best thing I have tried for getting paint, grease or acoustical sealant off your hands.
Who knows? It might even get Herculiner off your hootis!
