Little Women
Great movie, great aphrodisiac, nuff said. That and I've been in love with Saoirse Ronan for years. Movie was extremely well done but a little like reading Hardy's Tess of the d'Urbervilles, starts slow and plods on for quite some time and then all of the sudden the second half is upon you and the movie is over. Riveting for this time.
Good date night movie. Henry Ford II from F vs F is in it too.

Thanks... I love period movies.
Saoirse Ronan was brilliant in Mary Queen of Scots. (+ Margot Robbie as Queen Elizabeth)

It really doesn’t play like a period piece ( which is a positive for me ).
The language is modern, and the feel is modern, along with casting Laura Dern and Bob Odenkirk. Greta Gerwig , the director is in her 30’s...it shows. A must see. Last edited by Ziggythecat; 12-27-2019 at 09:05 PM.. |

^^^ an astute observation and quite appropriate since many of the social mores of the storyline's 1860s period are still in effect today. Leaves you to wonder if it was Gerwig's intention or simply the of product of her own enlightened modernity.
