First Drives of the New Decade!
It's a new decade! 2020 is a couple of days away and we know that you're already planning your first drive. So...where are you going?
Post your plans and photos of your first drives of 2020 below! http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1577736367.jpg |
One thing that I have to envy is the SoCal driving roads.
Around here, Rt-66 is about the only interesting trip that is not interstate, turnpike, or a section line road that is a straight road with a stop sign every mile. Rt-66 is fun for some of the great restaurants, and some interesting sights, but for the most part it is just an ordinary city street. My next big road trip will be to SoCal, and Palm Springs, CA for a week. I plan to hit some fun roads once I get to Flagstaff, AZ. Slight change of route: http://forums.pelicanparts.com/off-topic-discussions/1049271-my-2020-road-trip-july.html |

Would like to join in with a pic, but the roads here are white with salt.
Maybe in April? |
First drive of 2020
Living in NYC, any drive you get to do is an adventure. 1/1/20, I got up early and took out my 1973 Sepia 911E MFI out for a morning drive around Brooklyn and Manhattan.

My 996 in a small park off the George Washington Memorial Parkway on the
Potomac River near Mount Vernon. It’s a daily driver all year around.http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1578371534.jpg |
I took a 25 mile ride up toward Prospector Creek in the Gifford Pinchot National forest. The old single lane roads up there are gravel, but not bad. It was good to get her out of the garage. Now need a wash job.http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1578373206.JPG

Take 2: Living in NYC, any time you go for a drive it's an adventure. Got up early 1/1/20 and took a spin around Brooklyn and Manhattan in my sepia 73 911E MFI. Great way to start the new year and the new decade. |
Highwater, sweet car and excellent photo. John
