i call "uncle". i give up, i am going to install a center stand on my bike.

i think it would make my life a billion times easier.

my front stand is too short. made for sport bikes with dinky diameter front tires. (16"?) . my front tire is a 21" my stand will pick up the front a whopping 0.5". i have a hair-brained idea to run two 2x6's down the sides and put the stand up like that. but that has the "here, hold my beer" feel to it.

if i had a center stand, i could teeter it back and gently support it with a floorjack off the skid-plate. i have the pitbull rear stand. buying the front triple tree stand is expensive. and wont help me in the outside world..only in my garage.

i grease my chain by leaning my bike way over on the side stand and begging my wife to spin the wheel and brush the grease on. she is getting tired of it. reminds me of our brake bleeding comedy act.

Motorcycle jack instead? Mine will lift both wheels of my HD off the ground without much problem. Pretty stable too. Obviously doesn't work well with fully faired bikes.

Google "Abba stand". Or "Skylift".
