I like berries - all kinds, granny smith apples next.

I truly loathe cantelop and golden delicious apples.

Awe man! Now I'm hungry for some good strawberries.

Here and now it's the ripe peaches from my neighbor across the road. Not tasted a more intense flavored, juicy peach. Other than that, it's the paw paws from my childhood in Illinois. Can't get those here, plus they are only available back there right after a frost for a short while until they overripen. I've often thought of advertising back there to see if someone would send me some.

Apples & bananas - possibly a joke or witty tagline hidden in there...

Tie between pineapples and peaches. Both go very well with rum and accoutrements in the blender.

Lychees, fresh lychees, not the ones out of a can.

Second choice would be feijoa https://simple.wikipedia.org/wiki/Feijoa

I go into a bit of a feeding frenzy with both.

I don't really like comparing apples with oranges as I don't like either unless they are excellent. And most of the time they're not.

I select fruit based on whatever is the freshest that I can get my hands on. That’s often harder than it seems it needs to be. Most of the world eats what is seasonal at any given moment in time, our philosophy is to ship things halfway around the world so that we can have anything at any time. That puts a lot of so-so fruit in our grocery stores which I certainly avoid.

Anything I can handpick off of a tree or a bush goes right to the top of the list.

When did fresh peaches stop smelling like peaches? Years ago, a box of freshly picked peaches (grown here in NC) would make a whole house smell "just peachy"...but not any more. I can't recall the last time I had a peach that smelled like the good ol' daze....

Phhhht.

Being forced to choose, I’d choose Elton John.

June is only 6 months away!
My berry patch went crazy last year. I gave away over 4 gallons of strawberries, after making 12 half pints of jam and freezing 8 quarts of crushed berries plus some whole berries. If the berry patch goes crazy again this year I'll shoot you a PM.

Freezing whole berries wasn't such a good idea. After 5 months in the freezer they started to get freezer burn.
