Shot as a single scene.

Like the protagonists, you don't get to rest.

It's exhilarating. I was on the edge of my seat leaning forward at times. As were others.

Cinematography was excellent.

Incredibly simple story told brilliantly.

Who knew you could feel so much from so little. That's the brilliance of the film.

Riveting. Heart-wrenching.

What is shot as a single scene? They jumped from location to location in the trailer.

Ever seen Alfred Hitchcock's Rope? That was one continuous scene - actually took 11 takes because the cameras couldn't hold enough film to be non-stop.

Russian Ark was a continuous shot as well.

I saw it tonight and thought it was very good. Not a big story, but you got the feel of WWI in the trenches. A brutal journey with a lot of sad devastation.

I want to see it. I finally got to see "They shall not grow old" and was amazed. It is genuine film from the time, that was colorized and the sound enhanced. Truly a masterpiece.

Its actually not a continuous scene, but superbly edited to appear that way.

I bet Trump's kids would like the movie as well.

Haven’t seen it yet but my understanding is the entire movie was actually constructed to appear to be in real time.

Maybe my terminology is off on single scene. Googling the movie, "single, continuous take" comes up.

Actually, I think you were right and I was using the term poorly. It is one "scene" made from several takes edited together to appear to be one take.

The one scene thing wasn't noticeable to me. The whole story takes place over about 24 hours, so it's basically one continuous scene, two guys on a mission.

I saw it last night. I thought it was a good story told well enough but not anything special enough to see twice.

Planning on seeing it tomorrow...trailer looks very realistic.

That was pretty much my thought too. We saw it last Saturday. I thought it was a bit sanitized in terms of how dirty and bloody the war actually was. My wife said it was exhausting.

Movie moves along nicely and the way it was shot (supposedly no stationary cameras) you feel like you are moving along with main characters. Well done, but not the best ever...

Just saw it. Personally wasn't overly impressed. It had some moments and the cinematography was good and sets were good which I assume were largely CGI. But other parts left me saying are you kidding? Much like the Revenant. The Germans couldn't shoot worth a sheit, then the guy is being chased and shot at by several Germans, ducks in a door way, stumbles upon a person and has a conversation like nothing is happening and the Germans don't coming looking for him?

Ehhh, Band of Brothers, saving Private Ryan much better.

It seemed to me that the film consciously tried to get some details dead nuts correct. For example, incoming rifle rounds would impact and the resulting audio would come a split second before the audio of the shots' being fired. Also, the delay seemed tied to the distance from which the shot came and the reverse was true when protagonists fired. I cannot remember experiencing that in other movies.
