Recently I've watched a few youtubes of it and I REALLY like it.

I've got netflix so I can see it on that.

They’re still in production. A season six is in the works and the ambition is to have a total of eight seasons. We started late but there’s no reason you can’t start at episode one and work through them until you’re done. They are fantastic. Do keep the subtitles on, though. You’ll appreciate being able to read the words you think you’re hearing. Otherwise you’re spending a lot of time rewinding and repeating scenes to figure out what they’re saying.

I watched the first episode of season 1 recently. Not overly impressed... Do they get better?

I don't understand the in-house Netflix and Amazon Prime shows. Why do they seem to want to soak up "airtime"? No one cares how long or short the series is because it's streaming video.

"The Man in the High Castle", "Peaky Blinders", "The Irishman", "The Witcher", etc etc ALL seemed to be boring, plodding, uninteresting series that need heavy editing. The only exception would be "Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee", which seems to have just the right amount of editing to be interesting and offer some sense that you have got a sense of movement through a beginning, middle, and ending of each episode.

Many of the Netflix series are soap operas with guns or comic book adaptations with phantasy superheroes and their nekkid muses.

Early adopter here. It’s gotten a bit repetitive but still not bad. The gypsy thing seems common in Brit stuff.

I've followed it each season. Full of great characters. The Shelby family sure is twisted. But how can you not like Aunt Polly.

Because they are far better than what's available from most networks or cable providers and they don't have ad's. I'm not a cord cutter, I'm a cable 'never have been' and no I'm not a millennial, I'm 50 and refuse to pay to get TV (cable etc.) then have to spend a further 30% of my viewing watching ads. There are some great shows on both Amazon and Netflix. Comedies, dramas, Sci-Fi, historical, bio's, etc. etc.

Also I'm sure that both Amazon and Netflix understand their customer base, viewers etc. and produce content that their views want so they keep paying the subscription, which is far far cheaper than any cable service.

Agree and it has gotten better with each season.

I also turn on closed captioning for this show and most any show originating out of Britain else half the time I don't know what is being said... could be just my advancing age and hearing capability however.

I could be wrong but I thought peaky blinders was a UK series that Netflix licensed. I don’t believe it’s actually an original Netflix production

Pretty sure you are right. It's made for BBC.

They slap their logo on anything they license.
