Anal Incontinence

It's a thing.
I did not know.
I have a high school friend that I keep in touch with. We used to meet every few months and hang out. We still text and talk on the phone, but for about a year he has not wanted to get together. He recently told me why.
The poor guy has no control over the outlet valve. He has no idea when he will "leak" as he calls it. He's had multiple colonoscopies, balloons stuck up his flue to check his muscle tone, etc.
I cannot imagine.
I told him come on over. We'll have a good time, leaks or not, but I'm not sure what it will be like.

So many things that we take for granted throw us a curve ball when we get older. Thankfully the OP situation is not my world at this point. Once you hit the 50 year mark you owe it to yourself and family to get regular checkups.

Never pass up a bathroom, never waste a hard-on, and never trust a fart.

That sounds like some sort of prison credo.

It's just older dudes hanging out. Depends sound like a great option given older guys don't really care about that noise. They just want to see their pals.

There are components to being a 'gent of a certain age' that handcuff us to life's foibles and follies.
Jeff's credo is absolutely one of those shackles.

Ever since losing about 16" of colon in a surgery, I do not leave the house until I've had my morning dump. When it's time, it's time "right now", so I stay close to the john.

Old age..ain't fun.

Maybe the daughter should look elsewhere for dates.

Oh wait. Who here exactly was the farter? Girls don't fart so that narrows it down to two.

But be careful. As my dad pointed out: The guilty finger points.

Had 16 inches of colon removed 20 years ago becuase was having diverticulitus. Learned to not eat and take Imodium if traveling of going to where a restroom was not going to be handy. Because, when you have to go, it's right now. Sometimes just 20 ft is too far to a toilet.

Recently, 3 months ago, had a car accident and the seat belt bruised and lacerated my core. From rib cage to upper thighs. Since then there are several foods especially milk I can no longer handle because they go right thru and reduce the gotta go warning to seconds if I get them at all.

And yes, it is very embarrassing to go places if not prepared. Sometimes a day in advance and sometimes just have to stay home.

Have also learned who had clean restrooms and who does not, and that a restroom does not have to be as clean as I once thought. The important thing is toilet paper! Those hand drier things don't help much.

Mine was emergency surgery for a burst diverticuli. Drove myself to the hospital, thinking it was appendix. Woke up after surgery to discover a new hole in my belly. Had to do the baggie thing for a couple of months before being rehooked. Infection almost got me. Some new miracle antibiotics saved me. Lemme tell ya, I really appreciate my functioning a-hole.

At least I no longer have to worry about an appendix...it went along with the 16" of colon.
