You can see the older hardware at the Reagan Library, The 707, the SeaKing, a limo, and as of a few weeks ago an F-117. Pretty good write ups on how the stuff is moved around. The 707 looks positively archaic inside and surprisingly small. Selectric typewriters with changeable balls. Wow!

Past CT river before New Haven south bound on I 95?

On the Housatonic River right off the Merritt Parkway.

Spent three years there.

He does not take the helicopter or limo in the cargo hold of Air Force One.

You are thinking of Auric Goldfinger, similar taste in decorating, easy mistake to make.

Air Force museum in Dayton has a nice selection of Presidential aircraft.

The main Presidential helo, the one you see, is an H-3 Seaking. It does not go over seas with the President.

Paul,

Is this a recent change? (in bold)... there were two VH-3s used during President Trump's State visit to the UK in June 2019 .. along with four VH-60s and a number of HMX-1 MV-22s.
(Note: Obama also used the VH-3s during his visit in 2016)

Trump's visit in September 2019 for the NATO summit used VH-60s.... and these were accompanied by HC4 Chinooks of the RAF.

Saw all of these clearly as they flew past my windows on long finals to Winfield House...quite a sight to see both VH-3s, four VH-60s and accompanying MV-22s lining up.

The proceedure in September was apparently different; the two VH-60s and Chinooks did a shorter, curved approach to Winfield House, within a quartet of police helicopters. The Chinooks did not land, remaining airborne in close proximity before both VH-60s took off again and they departed on join up.

You are, of course, correct. Hard to disguise an H-3:cool:

My information was dated and I apologize.

The next Presidential Helo is in work...

I honestly think the 101 is a better aircraft

I heard the Air Force One gets a fighter escort wherever they go? If that's true, the same person told that Trump requested a doubling of the escort..

No, and no.

To be perfectly fair to my Navy Brothers . . . There has been One “Navy One” in the history of our country. At the conclusion of the initial combat phase of Operation IRAQI FREEDOM President George W Bush took a Lockheed S-3 Viking to the USS Abraham Lincoln off the coast of San Diego.

I remember watching it in OPS from the Combat Zone. Apparently he flew the aircraft part of the way, having been a former F-102 Pilot himself.

There has never been a 'Coast Guard One', but there has been a 'Coast Guard Two'.... Biden flew on it.

Sometimes the pilots get a little too paranoid.

One can only imagine what the MiG pilots thought.

https://www.airspacemag.com/as-next/when-air-force-one-evaded-mig-fighters-180970661/

As Air Force One entered Syrian airspace, four camouflaged MiG fighters joined up on the VC-137’s wings. White House officials awaiting the president’s arrival in Damascus told UPI reporters that they had been informed of the Syrian military’s plan to send honor escorts for Air Force One, but the officials didn’t bother to pass the information along to Air Force One pilot Colonel Ralph D. Albertazzie, who, fearing attack, banked violently right. For the next seven minutes, Albertazzie flew a series of evasive maneuvers, including a steep dive.

I bet that was a hell of a ride!
