Agreed on all the old ones!

For a more modern one the 458 Italia does it for me

^^ . If you removed the prancing horse, I'd be inclined to think that that's a Toyota 2000GT

You don't see these every day - a 1951 212.

There is some serious beauty in those cars. The perfect fusion of form and function. Perhaps not including the function of reliability, but performance has its price.

I agree that nothing compare to the classics of the 50s and 60s. They just aren’t allowed to
Make such beautiful pieces of art with no compromises anymore. We’ll never see such pure style in motor cars again. There is no wrong answer to which one you prefer.

My favorite is the 1959 250 GT (California ?). Can't find a pic of one right now to post. I remember looking at one on a lot in Connecticut in 1963. Don't remember the price but the sales (I think he was) guy at the time told me each piston cost $100. Of course I was pretty impressed by that & knew at the time I'd probably never be able to afford one.

I like the old Lancia Grand Prix race cars that became Ferrari's.

I know this is about Ferarris but I still think the most beautiful Italian machine back then was the Iso Grifo

Easy choice for me: 599 GTB Fiorano

http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1580473064.jpg

But the Dino is starting to grow on me. Only because if I had one, I would drive the heck out of it.

And then there is Ms. "Fernanda Ferrari": I suppose I would drive the heck out of her too....
