SCCA Rolex 24 ???
Our tv program guide is calling the Daytona race as the SCCA Rolex 24. Since when did scca take over running this race from IMSA?
|
WOW cable says IMSA.
|
who is broadcasting?
|
NBC sports. Its on and off and the end is on NBC.
|
Central Florida Region of the SCCA is supplying the support for the race. But sponsoring the race? That's new.

From TVRacer.com ... that NBC Sports App... aka "TrackPass on NBC Sports Gold" costs $45 for the year. I'm not biting... there's plenty of the race on TV / cable for me. I can nap during the downtimes.

NBC Sports App and NBC Sports Gold are two different levels of access.
If you have cable or streaming (Sling, Hulu, etc) that has NBCSN you can watch the whole race on the app. As shown above, AMA Supercross is on Gold so you won't have access to that without a subscription. |
Up here Discovery Velocity been airing it since the start. They're airing it until 5 tomorrow morning. The network must have made a deal with NBC/NBC SN to air it in Canada.
The final 2 hours are on NBC |
A rare race..no Porsche in any winner's circle. :(
|
A Cadillac won!?

The two Porsche's in GTLM ran no worse than 4th the entire race. They ended up 2nd and 3rd with cars that were 95 percent new design . They will be strong contenders for the championship this year .

The BoP for the Rolex is unique. Lets see what happens the next race.
