We had an Abarth Zagato Double Bubble Coup when I was in grade school...I remember riding with my Dad over Mulholland Drive in the 66/67 time frame.

Ours was blue and my Dad bought it from the girlfriend of the Cowboy that owned the ranch next to ours. Rit was his first name. I remember driving to Thousand Oaks with my Dad to look it over. Great times.

Ours wasn't this nice but I helped out on it a bunch. Loved it. The definition of fast/slow.

I remember seeing those in R&T and thinking "who in the world OWNS these cool little cars?", because I never even saw them let alone get a chance to sit in one or ride around in one and tinker on them.

Not at all. His Mom owned their ranch and he was in his 20’s. Rit was his first name. His girlfriend was a hammer and got the car from her Dad.

I should start a new thread.

The Abarth was the only Italian car we owned.
