Funny movie that is actually based on a real person and events.

They certainly captured the spirit of the original. I liked it.

Funny? I like Eddie Murphy but I thought that movie was boring so I switched the channel

I felt the same way. I could only get about 20 minutes in :(

It's a feel good underdog movie about Rudy Ray Moore. It's a true story. I watched it because I'm a fan of comedians Eddie Murphy and Jerry Seinfeld. Eddie told Jerry that the man died well-off in the L.A. area. He was a stand up comedian doing bits until he died.

I ain't to proud to say that I was emotional at the end, like the thread about Willie T. Ribbs, I cheered at the ending.

There is a definite lull at this point (and I almost quit watching it too) but after that the story and pace really picked up.

I couldn't even get through the trailer posted above.

sc_rufctr 02-11-2020 06:15 AM

The trailer posted above is the original movie from the 70s.
