Has anyone heard what sentence he’s facing? He was acquitted of the first degree rape and two predatory sexual assault charges. Those three charges carried a minimum 25 year sentence and a maximum of life. It looks to me that the third degree rape charge carries a maximum of four years but the criminal sex acts charge carries a five year minimum and a 25 year maximum, but I haven’t seen any articles that confirm that.

Everybody knew he was a pussy hound but he was rich and powerful. He could make or break someones career. That's all it takes.

Jimmy Savile in the UK was much worse than Harvey and everybody covered for him because he knew the right people and could get things done. If you read about Savile you'll see he was truly depraved.

These are state charges so he's not going to be assigned to something like a federal work camp or minimum security facility. The old "Club Fed" days are long gone anyway. For male offenders there haven't really been country club prisons for a while. New York state prisons are notorious.

Sentences in the US are concurrent (meaning both sentences run at the same time) unless there is a legal basis to make an exception. I don't see any obvious reason to run the sentences consecutively, so I assume they will be concurrent, but again, I don't know for sure. They may run the sentences consecutively on the grounds that they are separate incidents with separate victims. In most states, though, the general rule still is that any incarceration time is credited to all offenses charged as of the date of the incarceration.

I looked up credit for good time, meaning time actually served versus his sentence. As best as I can tell, he qualifies for 1/7 time off for good behavior. There are some other early release options that require approval of a parole board. I saw one program where offenders qualify for early release if they successfully complete a two year degree program in optometry. Who knew?

He's a first time offender and older, but he has been convicted of a violent sex offense. He'll get sent to whatever prison New York uses to house sex offenders. He'll have to start out in medium security and will have his status adjusted up or down over time, depending on how he behaves. They may not allow sex offenders to go below medium security, I don't know for sure, but he's going to spend some hard time before he gets moved, if he gets moved. He may ask to be segregated, but that gets him something not a lot different than solitary confinement. His victims can take comfort in knowing that the time he spends in prison will be meaningful and harsh - if that offers comfort to anyone. Medium security is a hard because really bad people who are on life sentences but have shown a history of good behavior can be assigned there where they mix with relatively petty offenders who didn't make the cutoff for a lower level for some reason. And there's slightly less supervision, so a vulnerable prisoner has more reason to be concerned in medium security than either the more controlled high security or with the relatively lower level offenders in minimum security.
