Chrome Browser Problems
Anyone else having issues with Chrome Browser running VERY slow this morning?
About 10 seconds to bring up the Google.com home page. 10 seconds to bring up Google maps. It was running fine about 5AM Central, but by 6AM it was extremely slow. I thought the issue was with my connection, trying different websites. I also tried switching DNS settings. No help. I switched to EDGE and everything runs quick/no issues. The Chrome issue follows Chrome. Any Website takes about 10 seconds to pull up. |
Mine crashed yesterday. I deleted Chrome and now can't get it to install on my win10 system.
I am fine.
I don't have a landline connection and only use cell service. Sometimes in the morning it runs dog slow but not this morning. |
No problems
Re-loading Chrome now. It is taking forever. Download had a delayed start.
Installation failed.
Re-booted, tried the installation again, worked. And the Browser is now operating normally.
You running Win10?
Yup - like 99% of the planet...
Last few releases of Chrome have been troublesome... Lots of "ow snap" errors too. Upgrade to the latest one or if no bueno, try to locate an installer for Version 77 (last stable one for us) and disable the auto update...
I just reloaded it on my office computer and it seems faster.
I updated Edge to the newest version yesterday and it seems almost Chrome like.

Unless you need it to run a particular application I really don't understand why people continue to stick with Microsoft.
If you're tech savvy have a look at Linux Mint. It does everything I need, speeds up your PC and is rock solid. Most people who run it don't use anti virus software. And if you use the Opera browser you leave a much smaller online foot print. |
So trying to uninstall Google Chrome. It says there are processes running.
Turns out they can't be killed from taskmgr. WTH |
I have this same issue about once a week with Firefox running Linux Mint 20.1. Chrome always works fine as failover.

And I use a Mac. Worst (or best) of both worlds. But I still miss Visio - especially for the ability it send files around and have them look good inside a windows Visio setup. None of the competitors have that down right IMO. |
