Wendy's Breakfast

I rarely eat at Wendy's, but some friends were talking about their new breakfast bacon sandwich. A tasty bun with sausage, bacon, egg and cheese! I could only eat half of the thing. The hollandaise sauce on it makes it.
Prob not the healthiest sandwich...but once in a while can't do that much damage.:)
The sandwich on the far right is the one I had.

Looks good.

Seems like Wendy’s can’t really keep breakfast going very long, they have started and ended breakfast menus around here 3 or 4 times.

And it's only 730 calories!

Breakfast Baconator®
Grilled sausage, American cheese, Applewood smoked bacon, a fresh-cracked grade A egg, (deep breath) more cheese and more bacon all covered in swiss cheese sauce. Don’t just break your fast. Destroy it.
730 cal

I buddy was 2nd in line the 1st day and they were giving a coupon book good for breakfast for a year for the 1st 50 people or something like that. Then he noticed that there was only 4 cars behind him so he went back through and bought another sandwich and got a coupon book for his wife.

^^^ That's great!
I think Wendy's is very intent on making the breakfast work this time.
It's a nationwide start with new items and the ones around here look to be very busy in the am.
The sandwich I ordered was part of the breakfast meal package. Seasoned potato wedges that were thin and tasty. The drink was their Frosty-ccino, which is similar to a DQ Moolatte.(frosty with iced coffee)

Looks like health food to me! :D

It looks good, but I don't think they tested their website:
-"Starts Monday". Okay which Monday?
-Hidden in the fine print in the App section is "must order by 10:30." That might be important to know.
-Fast food App? I'll pass. They seem to push this.
-Prices listed? Nope.
-The Find A Location map is blank. Actually Google maps show other restaurants, but no Wendys. I didn't enter an address.

^^^
It's a growing trend that I hate...no prices shown on the website.
The nationwide roll-out was last Monday...they all should have it now.
My baconator breakfast combo was $7....but it was enough for two people.
I subbed the coffee out for the frosty-ccino..otherwise I think it would have been $6

Just be sure to return at noon and enjoy The Barbecue Cheeseburger Triple is only 1,160 cal.

rusnak 03-08-2020 05:40 PM

Try the Arby's BLT or their Reuben. Trust me, they are quite fresh and very delicious.

expatriot98 03-08-2020 05:46 PM

And people wonder why health insurance is expensive.

I love the Reuben from Arbys but I like my bread toasted so I have to bring it home and toast both sides in the skillet.

I don't like all that fancy stuff. Just give me a Dave's Classic triple with cheese and I'm good. Oh and a small chocolate frosty!

stevej37 03-09-2020 11:55 AM

Other than their breakfast offerings....my fav has always been the Dave's Classic Single.
Their fixin's are always the best of the other fast food places.

Yes, when you think about it doctor's SHOULD be recommending stuff like this because it's good for business.

"Not recommended by your healthcare insurer" is the phrase we should look out for.

I'm always concerned about the toothpaste recommended by dentists. That can't be any good can it.

True for some. I eat at fast food places only when necessary. There are many choices as to what kind of food to order. If you don't care...load it up!
If concerned about calories or fat...they have things to fit that.
I'm 5'9" and weigh 150...least of my worries as long as I remain active.

The best reason to skip breakfast:

Arby's Reuben on the left, Brisket on the right.

I like Wendy's chocolate shakes, but really not much else.
