Say "No" to overnight shipping for awhile? Think about it...the Covid virus can remain viable on some surfaces for...what...up to three days? Hmmm...

Your mailman will touch it on the day of arrival. Leave it on the porch for 3 days. If it doesn’t get stolen you’re safe.

Or you could just live your life using reasonable common sense.

That is really pointless.

I would not doubt your package gets touched (that sounds weird) more with ground shipping. It will be loaded and off loaded on multiple trucks instead of one express truck or airplane. For Amazon, most of the products are shipped from a local warehouse so no real difference.

And as mentioned above, the delivery person touches it as well as some warehouse person loading the truck. No real need to change the delivery method. Open the box, and depending on what the product is, clean it off. Them most important, wash you hands properly.

And men, start using hand lotion on occasion. A lot of had washing can really dry out you skin. You don't want dry cracked hands. The skin is supposed to protect you insides. If the skin on your hands is cracked, it is a direct path into your blood stream.

What about your mail? Food from the grocery store? Leave it all on the front porch for 3 days. That’ll work!

Just a matter of time before some whacko posts that Coronavirus is in your drinking water...or that your car can get Coronavirus from infected gasoline.

(preliminary) tests show that the virus doesn't last long on cardboard - the real issue is whether the delivery guy sneezed just before dropping it off - gnd, O'nite, whatever

just let it sit in the sun a few hours, or wash your hands after opening but before removing anything (or dump it onto a counter, then wash)

or put on your protective hear and hose it down with bleach - may not need to cut it open then...

Just use some common sense. You're more likely to get hit by lightening than catching anything from touching a package.

If you're worried about it open the package outside then wash your hands with soap & water afterwards.

Yes, one should always wash after enthusiastic package handling.

Wash beforehand(literally!), too, as a show of common courtesy and fellowship!
