talking about putting us on "telework"
I work for the FAA as an electronic tech,
so my main responsibility is to maintain the equipment that the controllers use to control air planes. so obviously I cant take that stuff home and I certainly cant work on it from home. so their big concern is "how to keep us busy at home". I told them if you are really going to try to keep me busy at home, when I am not "over worked' at work, I would rather just come to work. it really is pathetic that they cant get past keeping us busy if they are really concerned about the CV. I understand one facility shut down due someone having the CV. that could be a real problem if more than one or 2 facilities shut down in the same area. our air traffic operations would be run from Atlanta along with many others in the south east. you could see the burden put on Atlanta. if they are really concerned about the CV, send the techs home along with admin and air traffic trainees that are not certified and run a minimal air traffic staff. I just had to take a course on teleworking.
