Yoga mom doesn't eat frozen pizza or Hamburger Helper. Ice cream comes in 1pint or less, trust me.

That there is Soccer Mom, or Hockey Mom. Basically a relative of Yoga Mom, but +30 lbs and at least -1 tax bracket....

Yoga mom is named Buffy. Hockey Mom is named Britney and can't see her feet.

Arizona_928 03-18-2020 12:53 AM

Oh definitely Britney.... Prolly a few Karens mixed in...

Didn't you see my comment about T shirts in the tp hoarding thread?

Didn't stock up on anything. No indication the supply chain will shutdown so stores will be restocked every three days. Plenty of TP to last a month or so plus we always have baby wipes on hand can use those if need be. I also have a stash of cotton diapers I use on the 911. Can always cut those or T-shirts up in a pinch and launder if necessary for reusable TP. Keeping an eye on the news. There is talk of a lock down so I may stock up on a few additional items just in case I can't leave the house. I also have prepared bug out bags for for each of my vehicles that are equipped for three days of survival each. So I think I'm good.

So far, I haven't had to touch the freeze-dried stuff.

Or hopefully the lead

If you find the bread shelf empty, look for bags of flour and yeast. Bread baking isn't rocket science, and there are tons of how to videos on youtube.

Already doing that!

With the expensive flour, it is $0.90 per loaf

Don't even need yeast-I keep sourdough starter in the fridge, easy to make yourself.

I bought a 1/4 steer on a whim in December - just wanted some grass fed around, even though it was a lot of beef. Looking like a lucky move at the moment.

Only chicken at costco yesterday was the rotisserie, so two of those-one for dinner and chicken salad, the other for 4 qts of stock in the freezer and chicken meat for gumbo and soup.

Do you think the Costco chickens are getting smaller?

cabmandone 03-18-2020 06:34 AM

50 lbs of 2 row base malt. 30 lbs of specialty grains. 4 yeast starts for kolsch. 1 fresh Scottish Ale yeast pack. 1 start of California Ale yeast... 3 lbs of various hops... I'm covered!

How many in your household? We have only two. I make all our bread, and I cut every loaf in half and freeze half of it. We eat bread so slowly that a full loaf will get moldy before we finish it off.

Can't say. Its just two of us here. Seemed plenty big. I'm not a regular buyer but think I will be from now on...

That's what I call having one's priorities straight! Excellent planning!

sammyg2 03-18-2020 09:31 AM

No hoarding here.
I have refused to partake in the stupid.

Danimal16 03-18-2020 09:40 AM

Mill your own wheat, starter and you are on your way. Two loaves for me (one frozen) and two for the Neighbors.http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1584549531.jpg

3 bottles of tequila and a large bag of limes from Costco. I'm set.

Rawknees'Turbo 03-18-2020 10:55 AM

I'm glad I don't eat bread much - none of that Nancy home baker stuff for me!!!
