Re-read the original posting....it is not PARFy....This whole epidemic is getting scary. I should know, I've been an RN since some of you were watching Teenage Ninja Turtles, on purpose.... ;-}
I want us all to take it seriously....and do the right thing, for our families and community.
And really, your local Hospital REALLY REALLY needs those masks, if you have some.
No way to change the past....but WHO now recommends that no Virus or Disease be named for a region or ethnicity, for reasons all to obvious. Stay Safe. Be kind.

PS: No, it's true, I don't have thousands of posts, and I don't have a 'twitter account', I try to only speak up when I think it's serious. Serious like, loved ones dying, as opposed to 'serious' like, "how do I corner balance my 911 at home?". Sorry for ruffling any feathers.

You would probably get a better response and foster a more meaningful discussion by sharing your direct observations/experience with the matter, instead of the preachy woke-scolding.

As a medical professional, I would assume you are very familiar with the concept of triage (prioritizing). As such, I would think you would be more concerned about the actual ramifications and potential problems (and maybe even solutions) with the outbreak, instead of the PC nonsense about what to call it. I imagine most of the folks who are personally affected and/or are on the front lines probably don't give a rat's ass what you call it.

Same with the malarkey out of Sen. John Cornyn (dumbass from TexASS) - only plausible motivation for such commentary is the intent to push buttons for personal entertainment (either that, or those peeps really are that ignorant).

I think it’s clearly intended to be xenophobic and inflammatory. Race, sex, country- makes no difference to him as long as he can name a scapegoat and avoid responsibility for responding to the problem.
