Situational.

Full bin at the curb for pickup, yes.

Empty bin at the curb already picked up, no.

For the old timers who never picked it up or throw it over the fence, we know a lot more now then we did back then, so her is a quick read why we pick it up: https://topdogtips.com/reasons-pick-up-dog-poop/

I live in the middle of what was my boy scout camp as a kid...20 acres behind my fence....

I hang the bag on the leash and dispose of it in my own garbage can.

What's a leash :D? You need another "poop eater" for yer walks Vash! My neighbor's year old Golden would clear my yard if I didn't....dawgs :)

Don't do that to mine unless its at curb waiting for pick up like others mentioned already. I have these dog walking neighbors thinking their dogs come first before everyone else. They walk up and throw their poop in my can in the dead heat of summer. when I go and open my can lid, surprise, surprise. That smell of siht is a killer. They somehow do not listen well and continue to do it. For some time, I taped my can with masking tape and that seem to get the message across. They stopped, for now

It took over 62 years, but a benefit of Catholicism to society has finally been revealed to me.

Oops, did I just PARF this thread up?

Put 4 rattlesnakes in your can.

Being a contractor and mainly in home improvement, I can't tell you how many times I have started a job to find, no kidding, dozens of dogpiles in the back yard. Some so old they are hard. Flies out the wazoo. Most of the time I took 10 minutes to clean up the yard, permission or not.

People can be dogs.

My dog’s poop gets bagged and put into public bins, or my trash can, never anyone else’s can. In my area, most people bag, there are a few bad apples who don’t. High density area and lots of doggers so if the majority never bagged, we’d be knee deep in doodie.

I don't understand the people who bag (and tie)...and then just leave it there on the ground. WTF?

Exactly! This is littering. So many people forget to pick it back up. Typically, this is always done on trails where people are trying to enjoy nature, but nope just seeing steaming bags of Shyt everywhere. Horrible.

And for the record, I hate people that throw their dog shyt in my can. I guess it would be ok if it is before the trash is picked up. But in my neighborhood, I put my can out late at night as it is picked up in the morning, and I go to work, as everyone on the block. So, in the evening when I bring the trash back in there is often dog shyt in a bag, that is super rude in my opinion.

I also hate people that think it is ok to let there dog pee or poop on my landscaping. The pee lasts forever and then other dogs pee there. For the shyt in the grass typically it does not all get cleaned up.

Vash

"I don't know what you want. I don't have a dog. But what I do have are a very particular set of skills. Skills I have acquired over a very long career.

Skills that make me a nightmare for people like you. If you stop putting dog poop in my trash can that'll be the end of it. I will not look for you, I will not pursue you. But if you don't, I will look for you, I will find you and I will kill you."

Because their pet dog is the most important thing in the universe. Your plans, garage door, house or column made of wood that absorb all the dog piss isn't my concern. Damn, I hate those people. I posted sometime ago about this crazy lady called the cops on my because we were running a jack hammer in the middle of the day claiming animal abuse. It was scaring her damn dog. Oh yeah, I find a few bags of dog siht on my job site. Not sure if its hers or not?

I have the guilt. My wife did not.

Attention. !!!!!! We all have to get back to working again. Times are tough when we see a 2 page thread on dog poop. Stay calm people, this will end just like poop does.

Wow!

I'm glad that it's not like that here. There have been times that I've had hundreds of pounds of garbage to throw out and they take it and my bill is the same regardless.

That.

In my neighborhood, there are several of those dog-poo bag dispenser disposal can on a stick things.

What always shocks me is when there's poop within 10 feet of one of those on the ground or the sidewalk. I've seen poop <3' from one of these before. I'm sure it's because people are squeamish about picking up poop even with a bag. I'd love to rub their nose in it.

I guess I should read the link posted above, but I assume that this is a two-fold issue of 1 pet health and 2 courtesy. I don't want my dog to catch what your dog may have because your dogs poo gets left laying around and I don't want to see, smell, step in your dogs poo because you're too lazy or squeamish to do what you need to do.
