Free roll of TP with every order

Since the chit hit the fan and sales dropped due to a ton of musicians being out of work, I decided to run a whopping 25% sale. That's gone over pretty well so far.
Today I scored some TP at Costco. First time I've seen TP in a store in over two weeks.

We had just bought some before all the stuff went down, so we're good.

So I came home and made a post on our Facebook page. For the next 30 orders at least, every US order gets a free roll of TP. It'll only cost me a couple extra bucks to ship in a larger box.

Someone asked me if I could do free relicing.... (it's a guitar thing)

Ok...what is relicing?

Walmart has lots of tp again also...Topco brand.

Be careful....the do-goodnicks will turn you in for trying to profit on hoarded necessities. I heard some guys were selling hand sanitizer on eBay and got busted.

Relicing in the guitar industry is making it look old, used, abused. And there's a helluva upcharge for it, too.

The 17,000 bottle guy? Yep, heard about that. And he should have. UPward of $80 or so for a bottle of hand sanitizer? The guy's a POS.

Fortunately I'm not profiting on the TP. Taking a loss, actually.

I wish I needed your services - I'd like to help your business and I'd like to play well enough to invest in something more exotic than new strings now and then.
Plus I could use the TP ;)

You're serious? I hope you're having fun.

Bill Douglas 03-29-2020 02:33 PM

An expensive roll of toilet paper, but you do get a free guitar.

Yep, I'm serious.
Between friends and "close customers" that I keep in regular contact with on Facebook, the majority of them can't find TP anywhere.
I figure they're not the only ones.

One day in 2016 I had a customer butt-dial me or something while I think he was in a drive through ordering a cheeseburger and fries. It was kind of weird. I asked if he was speaking to me, and he said yes...
When I shipped out his order, I included a cheeseburger and fries....

We're running 25% off till who knows when.
And I've got plenty of used stuff floating around, too.

So you're going to hold them hostage to buy something from you to get a roll. Just send a roll to your customers. I guarantee you will reap a generous return in the future.

Franklin Armory is including TP with some of their products as well. :)

Nest Jack-in-the-Box will be doing it. I will have to keep a sense of humor....http://forums.pelicanparts.com/suppo...oilet_claw.gif

"Relicing", huh? In the reproduction firearms world, where modern manufacturers are producing 19th century guns, they call it "antiquing". Some manufacturers offer differing levels, from a pretty mild patina to left-on-the-buffalo-plains-and-pissed-on-rusty. And they charge A LOT more for these finishes than for "new". I've never understood buying a new anything and asking for it to be aged for you. Kinda weird.

There is a restaurant in Jacksonville doing the same thing.

If my meal includes TP, I’m rethinking my choice in meals!

So far, people have been loving it. Here's a couple replies.
And we haven't been this busy since 2015-16. I'm having to work around the clock to keep up with the coil winding.
