Best water for a rice maker

Bottled water, purified or distilled? I have a spring in the back yard.

To get that "real far eastern" taste, get water from the river in Singapore or the one next to the Subic Bay base or where it used to be and you'll get that clean feeling!

I always rinse. Twice.

And sometimes the best water is the water that taste like chicken. Not always, but sometimes.

Funny, my mother taught me when I was young. I would rinse and rinse only to find that its still dirty. She finally said, just rinse three times and its clean. That's the golden rule to live by and my kids swears by it now. That's only if they decided to cook a pot of rice. Oh yeah, thank goodness for rice cookers. Can't screw up. Must try chicken stock. Sound great. Anyone know what the Armenians put in their rice? Its damn good. What's the secret?

+many on chicken stock and brown rice. really amazing. we don't eat much white rice these days but if we do it's just water out of the faucet.

Photo for another thread but here's our rice maker - provided by our Korean friends as a BDay present to me

Best water for a rice maker

I thought we need to rinse a few times to reduce the arsenic in rice?
