I think mine's the very first one "Can't Buy a Thrill", to be honest. Hard to pick just one......
Favorite? That's like saying which is your favorite child or favorite pistol. They are all special for one reason or another.
Can't Buy A Thrill, Pretzel Logic, Royal Scam - pick one. They all have tracks that are so epic.
I will say that songs like FM, Rikki Don't Lose that Number were overplayed on the radio and it took me a while to appreciate them again.

If you are from NYC, you know this song well.

Then there's this epic opening

What amazes me is how widely accepted many of these songs were despite the really dark and/or explicit topics.
Most folks don't know where Steely Dan got their name...

OK, back to the Dan. Saw them at the Kennedy Center '74. Original band. Killer. BTW, Chevy Chase was Becker and Fagaen's original drummer, look it up

so the Allman Bros live at the Fillmore East is one live album that all music lover must have, here are the two others.

Live at Leeds

and waiting for Columbus, the Feat. If you don't have these three in your collection, shame on your rockers.

Agreed, Music bind people together.

My parents met teaching at a music store in 1966. My dad taught music to put himself through university. My sister has way more talent than I do, but she has no passion for it. I have been playing since I was 10. Brass instruments initially, then both brass and percussion through high school. Kept drumming ever since (I am 50). Dabbled with guitar a few times over the years, always a hack. My son who is now 18 started playing guitar when he was 6. Pissed me off how easy it was for him lol. He lost interest in his early teens and now realizes that chicks dig a guy that can play guitar and sing.

We recently added to our guitar collection and have both been playing again. For fun though, not overly serious. We generally play long to music through the mixer once we get the basics of a song. We have a "music room" downstairs with all the guitars on the wall and floor stands and the studio drum kit that all can connect to the mixer. Its cool. My son drums as well.

Music brings people together. About 3 weeks ago on a friday we had a customer, and ex employee, a fellow shop owner and a couple of friends stop by the shop for a beer. We ended up back at the house playing music and singing in the music room until 230AM. Such a great way to have people all get along and lower their stress.

What do you recommend for video recording that can connect to the mixer? It has USB out etc. I need to record for another FB group I am part of.

Cheers

Stumbled across this band/video after getting pulled down the YT rabbit hole. It's made my personal play list now. Car references are a bonus (sort of). The band - Vulfpeck - is pretty talented and have a lot of pretty good songs. Their bassist is really, really good. Apparently they're a favorite among the NE hipster crowd. I understand why.
